This Flash application will calculate and elastic-plastic load-displacement curve based on your user input of specimen material properties for a variety of indenter shapes based on theoretical principles. A full version of this method of simulation is part of the IBIS Nanoindentation software that comes with every instrument. Select your indenter, enter properties, and press Calculate.
