UMIS

We handle support for the CSIRO UMIS. Spare parts and accessories, plus drawings and information about every system supplied are available from Fischer-Cripps Laboratories. For older model UMIS, an upgrade path is also available. For a modest outlay, an older model UMIS can be bought up to date with the latest computer interface and programming at a fraction of the cost of a new nanoindenter.  

UMIS is a standards-grade nanoindentation test instrument. It features exceptional build quality throughout with no compromise on stability and robustness. UMIS was developed by the National Standards Laboratory in Australia. Results from UMIS instruments were used to formulate the ISO14577 standard on instrumented indentation. No other nanoindenter on the market has the integrity of calibration, quality and longevity that is a hallmark of every UMIS instrument made. UMIS has been superceded by IBIS. However, support is available for existing UMIS customers.
